Based in Arlington, Massachusetts, country singer Laurel Michaels proves that country music is alive and well in the Northeast. Assembling a host of superb players that include Steve Hinson on steel guitar, Chris Joslin on dobro, Matt Leavenworth on fiddle, Stan Martin on a B-bender Tele, Seth Pappas on drums, Stephen Webber on guitars, piano, and mandolin, and Jesse Williams on bass, Laurel Michaels recalls the days of real country music that were filledwith heart panging themes and authentic pedal steel twang.

Michaels also exhibits her respect for the genre by writing all seven songs with faithful mastery. Enlisting Stephen Webber to produce "Crescent Sky," Webber comes through with amazing taste and regard for this beloved American music. You won't find anyone playing real country music better than Laurel Michaels and her band. It doesn't get better than this.
